Henry Richardson was the first child of Joseph Richardson & Mary Linsley born August 21st, 1861 at Seaton, & christened September 22nd, 1861 at St Mary the Virgin, Old Seaham, Co Durham.
By 1871 Henry’s parents had moved from Seaton to William St, Dawdon but Henry was living with his aunt Elizabeth Richardson at Blue House Farm, Seaton.
Henry was still living with his aunt Elizabeth & his uncle Robert Richardson in 1881 in Seaton Village & Henry was now working as a colliery labourer.
By 1891 Henry’s aunt Elizabeth had died but Henry was still living with his uncle Robert, a retired butcher, in Seaton Village. Henry was now a railway plate layer.
Henry was head of the household in 1901 & uncle Robert was still living with him in Seaton Village. Henry continued to be a plate layer on the railway.
Henry’s uncle Robert had died in 1907 & in 1911 Henry was living on his own at Seaton Village. He was described as a railway labourer.
The 1939 register shows Henry living alone at 20 Seaton Crescent & he was now a retired former plate layer.
